
As RFID is being developed for more and more applications (
implantable VeriChip, 
merchandise tags as in the Future Store, 
World Cup tickets, to name a few),   the vulnerability of RFID data security also emerges.
In 
a recent article in Wired magazine, 
columnist Annalee Newitz wrote about how easy RFIDs can be hacked.  Five real stories "from the RFID-hacking underground".  Among hacked RFIDs include: smartcard badge, RFID tags used in library, ExxonMobile SpeedPass, and VeriChip. Read more here.

Interesting post. There has been considerable push to deploy RFID for books in libraries.
